Power and Intensity

In traditional martial arts we deal with grace and fluidity.  That is the beauty of the art.  A martial artist moves from serenity and peace to the moment of impact, the explosion.  In technique, I found that at this moment of impact, two words stood out: power and intensity.  I embraced the words as my own philosophy, and they turned my whole karate career around.  Since that point in time, everything that I have ever done has dealt with serenity to power and intensity.      Grandmaster Hogan

Grandmaster Hogan and student, now Master Instructor, Jay Penfil demonstrate various karate techniques and combinations.  The moves reflect grace and fluidity but also power and intensity.  Click on the thumbnail of each photo to enlarge view.
