How Far is There?

True,
everything is measured
           in inches
              to
                miles.
We’ll walk
    aimlessly
along a
        beautiful beach,
   mentally
             trying to get there.
We’ll seek
    inspiration
       and
            miracles,
travel
gravel roads and
   paved highways,
meditate
     on a mountaintop,
sit
pondering
      beside a pond.
             Looking for there.
              But don’t go there.
         In the quest for
                                  there,
we’ve bypassed
                          here.
The question is,
         how far is here?
                   Here lies
                     within.
You are the answer.
